guys, it seems to me you''re fighting over nothing. I''m not Serbian, but I''ve been to Kopaonik a few times and it was better than expected.
Now comparing apples with plums, Ischgl with Kopaonik...really? Ischgl is at 1500m (the village) and the highest peak is almost 3000 m, 1000 m more than Kop. Also, it''s a bit more to the North (if you check the map)than Kop, so some elementary geography tells us it''s a bit colder and more likely to snow in the Alps than Kop. The difference between -3 and +3C is enormous. I was in Ischgl in January (4-11) and guess what - in the lower part of the mountain the snow wasn''t that white and hardly could you snowboard without damaging your board. and the ski-pass was 258 euro for 6 days!
for the altitude and the weather conditions this winter, the administrators did a fantastic job! I was amazed to see how they fought the weather and succeeded. I don''t know how, but they made it. and with all these human resources and work invested, people are still complaining about the prices of the ski-pass. gas is not much cheaper in Serbia than in EU, electricity neither, on the contrary. this is what those machines need to work properly. it''s March already and the tracks look excellent, so wining continuously that Serbia is not in Austria, the Alps should move to Kopaonik and the temperatures are not lower and that it doesn''t snow more and exactly when we want this to happen is at least ridiculous. come on guys, watch the cams, there is snow, plenty of fresh snow and it will keep coming this week, as our respected meteorologist Kimi said (and so far he didn''t give me any reason not to believe him)
